Household moves in or out of the building should be scheduled Tuesday through Friday of the week; Monday is our building cleaning day and moves are not permitted due to the cleaning crew being here in all common areas. DO NOT let movers (or delivery people) block the elevator when moving in or out of the building.  The elevator must remain available for all residents at all times. Under no circumstances should those needing to use the elevator be forced to wait due to blocking elevator use during a move.  Please ask those moving or delivering items for you to be careful not to scratch the paneling in the elevators while moving large items or nick the walls in common area hallways.

Should you lose your mag doors gray plastic fob, you may request a replacement at no cost to you. Your old one is decommissioned by serial number and will not be available to access the building after that. Parking gate openers are retained by owners and should be passed along to the new owners should you sell your unit. The HOA does not provide new ones for those buying residential units and does not replace units that are lost or no longer work. You will need to buy a replacement and we will have to manually program the gate to accept it. This is not an automatic process and may take some time.
We have both household trash service as well as recycle service at Eibands. You may recycle plastic, newspaper, other clean paper, aluminum beverage cans, steel/tin food cans and cardboard (no glass please) in the first dumpster to the left (the closest) when you exit the back of the building. Please bag the above materials (other than cardboard which must be flattened) with no need to separate the items since we use single stream recycling and the sorting is done for us. Recycling is not required at Eibands. If you dispose of trash rather than recycling, please make sure all trash is bagged and securely tied when using the trash chutes located on each floor. NO CARDBOARD IN THE TRASH CHUTES!  You are expected to break down cardboard boxes when disposing of them whether you recycle or trash it so that a few large boxes do not fill up either container.  If you notice litter in the alley around the dumpster, the pedestrian gate to parking spaces, or at the back door, please pick up and dispose of properly.
The directory screen to the right of the front door allows visitors and delivery services to call you (using a hidden number they can't see) and identify themselves. When you wish to allow entry, just hit the numeral 9 on your phone pad and the front door will release.

Once inside, they have about 20 seconds to enter the second door to the gym/elevator hall before it relocks so you may want to mention that to your visitors; UPS and FedEx are aware. If you guests don't make it and the second door locks, you may tell them to use the large red button just inside the front door. That will also release the second door.
Entry code is 215 for either the gym door or rear door by the exit.  Please leave the lights on in the swim area because of security cameras.  There is a life preserver, safety pole with loop and a red 911 phone located by the door leading to the exercise room if an emergency should arise. Anyone who is a guest of an Eibands resident must be accompanied by the resident to use either the pool or gym amenities. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult to use the pool or spa.
There are two red grocery carts available for resident use in bringing groceries/items from parking spots to your unit.  They are located behind the first door to the left (as you exit Eibands) in the hallway next to Storage Unit 310. Please return the cart to this location in a timely manner after using.  Please do not leave the red grocery carts outside unattended as they may be taken and have to be replaced.
There are four dryers for resident use in the last hallway before the back door entry.  Please clean out the lint filters after each use.  Timely removal of clothes from the dryer is a benefit to all users.  If your clothes are left in the dryer for an extended period of time, they may be removed and placed in your basket so the dryer can be used by another resident. Please be gentle with the dryer control knobs as they get a lot of use and may break with excessive force.
All requests for service or complaints, as well as inquiries about anything HOA related, should be entered in the Buildium service request log file by the resident making the request. That entry is available in each Buildium owner account under the heading REQUESTS in the left navigation field. This allows us to track requests as well as determine budget needs for recurring issues.
There are two ladders available for residents to use in their units. Please contact Brooks Hirsch in Unit 310 for access to these ladders. You are solely and wholly responsible for their appropriate and safe use at all times when you or your guest(s) use them.
Newspaper delivery is available to the Eibands Building.  The Galveston Daily News, Houston Chronicle and Wall Street Journal are currently being delivered to the building.  The first person down in the morning will gather all the papers left on the sidewalk in front of the Eibands Building.  The first person down will then leave the delivered papers on the coffee table in the lobby to be picked up.  Please do not take a newspaper unless you have a subscription for a delivered paper.

Please return equipment to proper places when finished using.  Exercise Room rules are posted on the wall in the area. Be considerate of others when using the television or recorded music. If you change the thermostat settings during use of the room, please make sure to return it to 77 degrees when you leave.
The meeting room is available for meetings/parties on a first come basis.  If you would like to use this area, please post a reservation notice on the bulletin board in the mailroom stating a date, time, and resident reserving space.  The resident reserving this area will be responsible for cleaning up the area after the event and making sure all items are removed from the refrigerator. Any work that is required to return the area to its previous condition for other residents to use may incur a surcharge to your next month's assessment that will reflect the cleanup costs by our maintenance company.
